Grant from AG Bishop Charitable Trust to help fund construction of Glenwood Cemetery Veterans Memorial Courtyard

Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the AG Bishop Charitable Trust, the planned construction of a Veterans Memorial Courtyard at Glenwood is about to become a reality.

The recently announced grant, along with a $500 contribution from Open Gate Garden Club, will allow the Glenwood Board of Directors to move ahead with the Veterans Memorial Courtyard, which will be constructed at the main entrance and serve as the gateway to Glenwood Cemetery.

The goal of the Memorial Courtyard is to honor all Veterans and memorialize those who are interred at Glenwood. The project includes installation of a retaining wall to flatten the surface for the Memorial patio; engravable patio pavers; plant beds including edging, mulch, and plants (Daylily, Astilbe, Hydrangea, Karl Forester Grass); topsoil and hydroseed around the patio; and a flagpole with lighting.

The entire project carries a price tag of $28,500. With your help we can raise the additional $18,000 needed so that construction for the Veterans Memorial Courtyard can begin in the spring of 2026.
